The Leapmotor C10 is a mid-size electric SUV that will come to Brazil as a brand of Stellantis, which acquired part of the Chinese startup and now has exclusive rights to sell and produce its cars outside of China. While we await the model’s debut in the Brazilian market, an update to the SUV was revealed in the Chinese market. The information was released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.

The great advantage of this update is the new power generated by the C10, which will now be 295 hp. A substantial increase of 67 hp over the current model’s 228 hp.
There is no information about changes to the battery. In the current model, the C10 is offered with two options: the first is a 52.9 kWh LFP that allows a range of 410 km; the second is larger, with 69.9 kWh of capacity, which guarantees 530 km in the Chinese CLTC cycle. However, with the update of the SUV’s electric motors, these range figures will probably be reduced. The exterior look remains the same, with an imposing front without a grille, but with headlights connected by an LED bar. There is also a large air intake at the bottom of the bumper.
The roof is painted black, as are the rear-view mirrors, window frames and wheels, which can be 18 or 20 inches. The rear also follows the same, with interconnected lights and a rear spoiler.
The cabin also received no visual changes, but it is still unclear whether the 14.6″ multimedia center will receive any updates. The rest remains the same, with camouflaged air conditioning vents on the dashboard, ambient lighting, a 10.25″ digital instrument panel and more.
The LiDAR radar system, apparently, has not been updated either. Therefore, the SUV should maintain the five radars, twelve cameras and twelve ultrasonic sensors controlled by an OrinX chip from NVidia.
Leapmotor dealerships open in Brazil
With no launch date yet for the Brazilian market, Stellantis announced today that it will open 34 Leapmotor dealerships throughout Brazil to support the introduction of the Chinese brand. The appointment of the groups responsible for the dealerships is the first step towards the official launch of the brand.
So far, only two models have been confirmed for the Brazilian market: the T03, an electric “version” of the Fiat Mobi, and the C10 itself. In the coming months, more information will be released by the automakers.
